North Sails is a unique sailmaker, built on a champion spirit. Founded in 1957 by Lowell North who applied an engineer’s logic to a traditional craft, North Sails transformed the industry and has become the world leader in sailmaking technology. North Sails is the largest division of North Technology Group and the brand’s history of innovation and winning has continued to produce generations of product breakthroughs and champions. North Sails holds the patent for 3Di, a unique composite construction process that produces high-performance sails that approach the shape holding of a rigid foil. North Sails is the sailmaker of choice on the majority of America’s Cup, Grand Prix, ocean race boats and Superyachts. North Sails offers a wide range of performance 3D and paneled sails for cruising sailors and is the world’s leading sailmaker for one-design classes with more National, World and Olympic Class victories than all other sailmakers combined. In 2014, the brand expanded their profile to include North Sails Apparel, a lifestyle collection that brings the sailmaker’s love of design and technology into fashion. North Sails adapts the sailmaking mastery into high-performance collections made to resist wind and water. The apparel collections continually develop element-defying materials that allow users to navigate the sea and modern life. Follow North Sails on Instagram www.instagram.com/northsails

Nine new sails. Forty crew. One breathtaking schooner. Adela, the stunning 55m schooner originally built in 1903 and rebuilt by Pendennis Shipyard in 1995, is back at the St Barths Bucket, powered by a fresh North 3Di SY inventory—nine sails, with up to five flying at once in different combinations. “Teamwork and clear communication are essential, and making her go fast is especially gratifying,” says Ruaridh Wright, trimmer and sailmaker from North Sails UK. "With every sail hoisted on winches and dropped manually, it’s a true team effort to race this beauty.” Fresh off a win at the Superyacht Challenge Antigua, the crew is ready to push hard, improve on last year’s performance, and enjoy every moment on the water. Soak in this stunning drone footage of Adela in action. #StBarthsBucket #North3Di #SuperyachtSailing

With steady trade winds, sun-soaked days, and a fleet of world-class yachts, the Superyacht Challenge Antigua 2025 wrapped up after three days of excellent racing. All nine official races, as well as the Round the Island and Half Island races, were won by North Sails-powered yachts, marking another dominant performance for North technology. In the Buccaneers class, Swan 90 Freya, captained by Joph Carter, continued her winning streak, securing another class victory. Over in the Privateers, the 182ft schooner Adela turned heads with a perfect scoreline, showcasing the power of her brand-new North inventory, delivered just a week before the regatta by North Sails UK. Longtime North Sails expert and crew member Neil Mackley noted, "We couldn't be more pleased with how well the new sails have turned out." In the Corsairs class, the 37m Dykstra-designed sloop Action was unbeatable, winning all three races in addition to the Round the Island race. Equipped with a new #North3Di mainsail and jib and with North expert Ian Walker calling tactics, Action delivered flawless performances to complete a North Sails clean sweep across the fleet. Antigua may be in the books, but the Caribbean season is just getting started. Next stop: St Barths, where the biggest names in superyacht racing will go head-to-head in one of the most competitive regattas of the year. Superyachts demand the best, and North Sails delivers. This year’s Royal Ocean Racing Club Caribbean 600 brought all the elements of great offshore racing—tight battles, shifting conditions, and a relentless pace around 11 Caribbean islands. North-powered boats led the way, securing victories and podium finishes in a highly competitive fleet. Bryon Ehrhart’s Juan K 88 Lucky took Monohull Line Honours, leading the fleet to the finish with North experts Charlie Enright and Simon Daubney onboard. Reflecting on the race, Enright shared, "Lucky had a great Caribbean 600. The trades were up, but the boat was well prepared, and the crew was up to the challenge. A sub-48-hour elapsed time and a Line Honours finish is nothing to shake a stick at. I'm lucky to have been part of such a great group." The IRC Zero battle came down to the wire, with North-powered boats sweeping the top four spots. Niklas Zennström’s Carkeek 52 Rán clinched its third consecutive class win, just eight minutes ahead of Frédéric Puzin’s Carkeek 54 Daguet 5 after an all-out sprint to the finish. Jon Desmond’s PAC52 Final Final* and James Neville’s Carkeek 45 Ino Noir rounded out the top four, proving once again that consistency and smart calls make the difference in offshore racing. In IRC One, Philippe Frantz’s Albator led the charge, while Ross Applebey’s Team Scarlet on Emily took the win in IRC Two, holding off Cox & Dunlop’s Mojito in second. In the Multihull class, Thomas Kassberg’s Malolo claimed first place on corrected time, finishing a high-paced race in changing conditions. Beyond the results, teams like Lucky, Rán, Pyewacket, and Balthasar relied on North Sails Performance Clothing for comfort in the demanding conditions. The Caribbean 600 is a true offshore test, where durability and range matter. #North3Di sails delivered the strength and stability needed to push hard through heavy trade winds and tactical transitions, keeping teams powered up from start to finish. Congratulations to all the teams who took on the challenge, and to the North-powered boats that made their mark in one of offshore racing’s biggest events. #NSVictoryList #Caribbean600 #NorthSails #sailing #offshoreracing 📸 RORC | Arthur Daniel | Tim Wright
